Big Pharmas meeting on bioproduction innovation in Nantes

Last week, in Nantes, the ACTIP (Animal Cell Technology Industrial Platform) organized a meeting for its members. Around  40 representatives from the biopharmaceutical industry such as Bayer AG, GSK Vaccines, Merck, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi were in Nantes to discuss innovative approaches in the field of bioproduction.

The meeting began with the visit of Clean Cells’ facilities and a presentation of BE Vaccines and Valneva. It was followed by presentations from academic institutions and companies  about the vaccine industry and bioproduction models (CHO cells among others). This meeting was a good opportunity to show the strengths of Western France in Bioproduction and Regenerative Medicine. The ACTIP members also discovered local biotechs such as In Cell Art and Ose Immunotherapeutics. They also had a good time at The Machines de l’Ile and the Carrousel to continue the discussions in a pleasant atmosphere !
