ISAP 2017 – The 6th International Congress of the International Society for Applied Phycology,
will be held from 18 to 23 June 2017, at the “Cité des Congrès”, in Nantes – France
It will be organized by the GEPEA laboratory (CNRS-Nantes University) and Greensea,
Co-chairmen: Pascal Jaouen (Nantes University / GEPEA) & Jean-Paul Cadoret (Greensea).
This 6th congress is the first in Europe since Ireland in 2008. More than 400 participants including 40 different countries are expected.
ISAP 2017 will bring together scientists who are working on several aspects of micro and macro algae exploitation as well as industrialists who are promoting the sector. This conference will cover a large number of topics related to applied phycology: microalgae, cyanobacteria and macroalgae, production systems, ocean science, strain selection, algae use for aquaculture, production of biofuels, production of compounds with high added value for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, biorefining and industrial ecology.
The program will include: over a hundred conferences, B2B meetings, round tables, numerous exhibitors, as well as, on Thursday evening, a general public conference “Algae to meet the stakes and challenges of tomorrow’s society”.
