On May 28th, at the Ecole des Mines de Nantes, the fourth Digital & Health day took place. It was organized by Images & Réseaux and Atlanpole Biotherapies competitive clusters. The objective of this cycle of theme days is to develop closer links between professionals involved in health and digital sectors.
Nearly 150 participants shared and exchanged ideas around the legal and technical questions regarding the collection and analysis of health data. Thus, Nantes and Rennes University Hospitals presented their problems in handling large amounts of data derived from DNA sequencing or from databases in pharmaco-epidemiology. Digital start-up companies also presented their solutions, for instance, Bakasable who specialize in complex data representation.

This 28th of May also marked the first step in the support process of the 8 projects selected during DigitalforLife call for challenge projects. Health project leaders made a “brief” presentation of their projects and contacts were made with professionals in digital technology. The challenges relate in particular to image processing issues, the collection and sharing of information between patient and doctors, home support and prevention of the risks of transmission of nosocomial diseases.
The next Digital & Health event will be held on September 30, at Brest, on the theme of “home assistance”.
