DIRECTOSANTÉ aims to enhance the follow-up care of ambulatory patients in hospital environments

11 February 2020

DIRECTOSANTÉ, AN E-HEALTH START-UP AND MEMBER OF THE ATLANPOLE BIOTHERAPIES COMPETITIVE CLUSTER, HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED ITS SECOND FUND-RAISING INITIATIVE AMOUNTING TO € 600 000 THAT WILL BE USED TO PROVIDE ALL HOSPITAL PATIENTS WITH ACCESS TO TELECONSULTING SERVICES.

With a base covering over 140,000 patients, the DirectoSuivi solution provides secure, automated preparation and follow-up care of ambulatory patients receiving oncology, maternity or even psychiatric treatment in the hospital environment, via a simple SMS messaging system that lets healthcare teams teleconsult with their patients as part of a service reimbursed under the national health system.

EFFECTIVE PATIENT CARE DOES NOT STOP AT THE HOSPITAL GATES

“Given the trend towards shorter hospital stays, it is absolutely vital to make sure that patients are properly prepared prior to their arrival and that they receive appropriate follow-up care after returning home. Beyond the issue of patient satisfaction, the challenge is to provide a safe and secure care pathway and prevent re-hospitalisation.” explains Typhaine Servant, the founder of DirectoSanté.

The overriding ambition of this young Nantes start-up is to 1) reassure patients and give them confidence in their follow-up care despite the distance involved, 2) help often overworked medical teams optimise their time by facilitating the preparation of procedures and the development of follow-up care plans tailored to patient needs and 3) help hospitals provide a safe and secure care pathway, thereby enhancing their attractiveness and improving their economic equilibrium. To conciliate these three seemingly contradictory requirements, DirectoSanté proposes DirectoSuivi, the ground-breaking solution that simultaneously conjugates and capitalises on constraints.

This latest funding round of € 600 000, from Pays de Loire Participations / Pays de Loire Développement, Business Angels and the ABAB network, will allow DIRECTOSANTE to further develop its digital solutions, offering healthcare institutions a comprehensive care pathway and, at the same time, rolling out its business activity across France.
